$50 Hair Cuttery Gift Card Giveaway & Review

February 20, 2013

If you thought Hair Cuttery was just for cuts, think again. They're a full-service, value-priced salon offering a full complement of premium cut, styling, coloring, waxing and texturizing services. Whether you’re getting glossy with a sleek Keratin treatment, re-energizing with a radical chop, camouflaging fifty shades of gray, or because you heard blondes have more fun—there’s nothing like a day at the salon to make you feel like a million bucks.
This was me, lazy working from home, before I went to the Hair Cuttery.
I got a hair treatment, my brows waxed and a blowout.
After the stylist put a ton of mousse and curling pins in my hair while blow drying, she sat me under the   dryer.
This is what my hair looked like after an hour of mousse, pin curls and blow drying.
I'm not really sure what look she was going for, my hair was huge and reminded me of Jersey girls. Not my style. I appreciate her hard work, but asking me what I wanted my hair to look like would've been beneficial for both of us.
I combed the hell out of those curls with my fingers, but ended up going home instead of running errands because I didn't want people to think I stepped out of the 70s.
I tried to fix it when I got home. . . no hope. My recommendation when you're getting a blowout from a new stylist is to let them know exactly what you want. Every blow out I've ever received, I've never said what I wanted, the stylists typically blow it out with a little volume and curl - I'm not sure what happened here.

Don't get me wrong, the Hair Cuttery is a great place if you need a trim, quick style, hair treatment or a brow wax. I like affordable services, so I'll probably go here every once in a while, but if I need something done that I'm going to be picky about, I'll go to my regular stylist.

I purchased a blowout, wax  and cut package which was valued at $45 ($35 for shorter hair). That's an amazing price, compared to what I've spent at other salons. I ended up spending $75 after buying shampoo and conditioner - have I ever told you how much I love Matrix products?

Through March 4, Hair Cuttery is also offering discounted color packages and 40% off professional shampoo and conditioning liters.

With over 900 locations on the East Coast and throughout the Midwest, one of you awesome readers is sure to have a Hair Cuttery near you! I'm giving away $50 to Hair Cuttery! Check here to see if there is one near you.
