Tell us about your family traditions for Thanksgiving
I’m not a big fan of Thanksgiving, and I’m not sure why. It’s like any other day to me, but with a lot of food, and too much football. Growing up, we spent every Thanksgiving at my grandparents’ house, but it was just the 5 of us, nothing exciting, the same 5 people I always had dinner with.

Now married, we haven’t spent a single Thanksgiving in our house. We’ve been invited to someone else’s house every year, which is fine with me. It’s kind of fun to always have somewhere to go. I’m sure as Brady gets older, we’ll do it at our house, but it’s more fun to be with a lot of people.

Tell us about your favorite foods
Green been casserole and pecan pie are all that I care about. Seriously.

Tell us, do you wait to decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving?
I wanted to start decorating last week . . . but I’ll wait. We won’t get our tree for a while, but I’ll start to put some lights up and some winter d├ęcor. I love a warm, cozy home full of lights. If it was normal, I would leave garland with lights up all year long, I think it looks so classy and pretty.

So, this year, we’ll decorate sometime during the week of Thanksgiving. {I wrote this last week, now that I'm looking at it on Saturday night, I'm sitting next to a fully decorated fireplace}

Tell us what you are thankful for this year
I am thankful for everything, every day. I am especially thankful for a roof over my head, my family, my dogs and our military.
