Show & Tell: High School Memories

September 17, 2012
As you read, I'm in Chicago for a conference. Thus, I have had zero time to prepare and gather photos for this post, but didn't want to miss a show and tell!

Tell us what kind of student you were in high school {popular, nerd, sport obsessed, choir, etc}
I was the student who didn't want to wake up in the morning, crawled out of bed and went to school. I did well in school, I loved hanging out with my friends and had friends from a lot of 'groups.'

Share with us some high school pictures. We know you have them somewhere.
When I get back to Michigan, I'll be sure to update this post with some great high school photos. This is all i could find on my old Shutterfly account. Definitely not great photos of me.

No, I did not like Sponge Bob. Every birthday I wanted to have a funny cake. My 16th was the Little Mermaid.

haha wow, I think we were going into our Freshman year

How young and not cute are we? Freshman Homecoming

Graduation Party

High School Boyfriend

Best Friend since Preschool

Tell us about your school. Private? Public? How many in graduating class? Mascots? School colors?
Public school. I think our class size was about 300? I have no idea, it's been 9 years. We were the purple and white Spartans. Nothing too exciting.

Tell us about some of your favorite memories of high school. Or what stands out the most? Any teachers? Specific classes?
High school was fun. I developed my passion for journalism. I made great friends. I made and learned from mistakes. I'm also extremely tired and not putting a lot of effort into this post.

Tell us a piece of advice you would pass on to your children or any child entering high school.
Live a little, but don't get in trouble. Don't take it too seriously - there's life outside of the books. I knew it, but a lot of people didn't. Work hard, play harder- they are the best days of your life because you really don't have much to worry about.

  1. Ah I wish I had known that high school days were actually care free compared to life now! If only :)
