BarkBox Review

Dogs' lives are too short.  Their only fault, really.  ~Agnes Sligh Turnbull

Dog food, treats and toys are expensive. If you're like me, you often wonder if your dog(s) will like it or destroy it in 5 seconds. Dogs get bored with toys as much as children do. When I heard about BarkBox I was pretty excited. I've tried a lot of human subscription boxes and have fallen in love with some of them. My favorite part is discovering brands I didn't know about previously, especially small businesses. BarkBox, a subscription box for dogs did not disappoint.

The dog days of summer are in full swing, and you know what that means...Sunshine, barbecues and plenty of time to spend outdoors with your four-legged friend. July's box is full of summer and barbecue fun.

July Big & Bold Box

Pet Qwerks Incredibubbles don't burst. Goose and Maverick (and my son) had a blast trying to pop them in the air, and popping them once they landed on the ground. It's definitely fun for everyone. Retail value $5
Nootie YumZies are all natural, zero grain treats made in the USA. Goose and Maverick will eat just about anything that's not a vegetable, and loved these. It's not always the flavor we consider for our dogs, but health and nutrition does count. YumZies sound good to me. Why zero grain? Retail value $7
Petprojekt T-bone steak squeaky. Goose will destroy any toy in seconds. It's safe to say that the T-bone is still in tact. Awesome. Retail value $12
Metro Paws Poopy Packs. Scoop that poop on walks or at the park in style. Not only do they look cute, they are durable. That's what matters most. Retail value $2
Precision Pet Spinz Bone is an edible chew toy. Since I have two dogs, I'll have to figure out who I favor the most and give them a big treat... or let them fight over it. Retail value $4
PetFlow dog food delivery. We will definitely be using this service. We had a dog food delivery service in California and loved it. Use code BRBX34FG7X for $10 off your first order of $40+. Value $10

BarkBox subscription $17        July BarkBox value $30 or $40 (with $10 off delivery)

I will subscribe to BarkBox. I love buying new things for Goose and Maverick but toys and treats are always so expensive at the pet stores. I'm always hesitant that it will be a waste of money because they will ruin them right away or they won't like it. I think BarkBox is a fantastic idea because you can sample different full-size products. No samples, just the real thing.

Intro paragraph copy from July's theme card. BarkBox sent me one box to review in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own.

  1. New follower from the Milso Blog Directory. I love the idea of the BarkBox! Our dog is pretty spoiled in the toy department but finding toys that last is always an issue for her.
