Travis deployed when Brady was 3 weeks and 1 day old. Homemade gifts from children are always the best, but what does a 3 month old give his dad? Keep reading, you'll see. I was hesitant to do it, but I was so excited when I found out about it. Moms love things from their kids that they can always keep with them. You think it's tacky until you have a child of your own, then you realize your mom wasn't lying to you, she really does love the things you made her.
What is it?
Brady's thumbprint in silver. Say what? Yes, Travis received a silver thumbprint charm from Brady.
I went with the smallest and most affordable (I don't like the word 'cheap' since it implies low quality) charm that Janessa offers, because I wasn't sure if it really was the perfect gift, at the time.
How does it work? You receive a package with clay in it and put your child's thumb or finger print in it and mail it back to Janessa, she does her magic and voila, silver fingerprint charm!
She offers so many different designs and jewelry pieces. You can have the birthstone included, a charm that fits a Pandora bracelet (want!) and so much more. Check out http://www.designsbyjanessa.com/
So, how do I top that gift? Travis is in country this year and Brady is 15 months old. Father's Day is 13 days away and I have no idea what meaningful gift Brady is going to get him. For context, I got a Pandora bracelet for Mother's Day this year.
I started this post with the intent of teasing you to think I was giving you the best idea, but really wanted you to help me, and now it seems as if I've given the best gift idea. Now I need your help! Post in the comments what the best Father's Day gift you've given or received was. Please!
I was not paid or compensated for this post. In fact, Janessa has no idea I wrote this.
