military spouse appreciation day linkup

May 11, 2012

I'm linking up with http://www.ridingtherollercoaster.com/ and http://household6diva.com/ for this years military spouse appreciation day! Earlier I posted my ultimate sacrifice as a Marine Wife, you can read it here

I cannot wait to read every single blog that is linked up, but that won't come until Sunday since I'm at the 2012 Military Blog Conference all weekend. If you're not able to be here and want to follow along, follow #MilBlogCon on Twitter.

The Military Spouse Appreciation Day linkup is all about getting to know each other. So here it goes... all about moi!

My name is Chelsea and I am a Michigan Native, California Resident and Virginia Transplant by way of the United States Marine Corps.

I'm a social media and email marketing strategist by day and wife, mom and blogger by night. Travis and I dated long distance for four years before we got married. I am probably one of the few, the proud that refused to get married until I completed my Bachelor's Degree.

We recently PCS'd to Virgina Beach and I hate it. More to come on that in a separate post. As military spouses, we sacrifice a lot that many don't realize and I posted earlier about my biggest sacrifice here.

I go by MotoWife- it doesn't get any more moto than that! Goose and Maverick are our dogs. No, we're not Navy, but could you come up with two better names for these guys? Didn't think so.

I'm going to leave it at that. I love being a Marine Corps wife and friend. I have met some of the most amazing people in my life because of the Marine Corps and I wouldn't change a thing.

I look forward to meeting you at #MilBlogCon this weekend. If you aren't attending, I'll be stalking visiting your blog on Sunday or Monday.

Hey, while you're here, you might as well try to win something:

  4. Hi Chelsea!

I'm visiting from the MilSpouse Blog Hop! Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day to you!

You are definitely not alone on waiting to get married.. I didn't wait to get my Bachelor's degree (I get that later this year), but I waited three years. I was married once before at 17 and when that failed, I always told myself that I wouldn't remarry unless I had been dating the guy for at least two years. When two years came, Jay was deployed and we didn't get married until shortly after our third anniversary. I made a promise to myself and I'm so happy that I kept it.

It is nice to meet you!

  5. Happy MilSpouse Appreciation Day :)
