Day 20: 3 Significant Memories

March 25, 2012
20. Describe 3 significant memories from your childhood.

I have awesome long-term memory, but when the TV cuts to commercial, I've always pretty much forgotten what I was watching.

Adoption Agency
Seriously. This story was never told to me. One day, I brought it up to my mom and she was blown away that I remember this. Looking back, it was like an out of body experience- that's the best way I can describe the visual. I was 2 months old or younger at the adoption agency. I was in an office in a wooden crib with a yellow care bear. Seriously. The way I see it in my mind is me looking down on a baby with a yellow care bear in a crib. True story. Crazy.

Disney World
I was 8 and at the Happiest Place on Earth with my mom and grandma. Who wouldn't remember?

I will never forget this. I was probably about 2 and my grandpa let me help him get the eggs from his chickens (is that what you call it?) in the back garden. He gave me one to bring in the house and as I was trying to open the door, I dropped it. I was mortified and felt horrible. I will never forget it! Damn slippery chicken egg!

  2. These are great memories. I can't believe you remember the adoption agency but it probably was such a significant moment in your life your brain just stored it away.

  3. I've always wanted to ask you about being adopted, but thought it was rude of me.
